Godfather
Ingredients:
  •     1½ oz Scotch
  •     ¾ oz Amaretto
Pour ingredients over ice and serve. Some people like to try this with a Bourbon whiskey, but I think the combination comes out a little to sweet. My best recommendation would be to find a blended Scotch that has a very smokey character.
I have been trying to figure this puzzle out for about a year, and despite conversations with industry insiders and emails to the distributor, I haven’t been able to come up with an answer. So, what’s the problem you ask? Well, I want to know who produces McClelland’s Speyside single malt? I know that the whisky is distributed, and perhaps bottled, by Morrison Bowmore Distillers. However, while Morrison Bowmore operates distilleries in three of the traditional Scotch regions, it doesn’t own a Speyside distillery. So, Morrison Bowmore currently bottles the following McClelland lines:
  • McClelland’s Highland = 5yo Glen Garioch
  • McClelland’s Islay = 5yo Bowmore
  • McClelland’s Lowland = 5yo Auchentoshan
  • McClelland’s Speyside = Mystery Distillery
Someone please help me fill in that last line.
